The breakdown of a relationship and family can be a time of instability and the unknown.

With nearly 20 years experience in family law, Joelene takes away fear through compassionate service and remarkable skills in negotiation.

Joelene is focused on achieving positive outcomes for clients in emotionally challenging times.  Joelene is knowledgeable and skilled in identifying the many different issues to consider when people separate, and understands that there are more than just the legal issues to think about. She also has experience and training of how to approach matters where there is domestic and family violence issues.

Joelene’s sensible and practical approach as a nationally accredited mediator is how she assists parties to resolve their disputes without going to court.

Her passion for helping people overcome these challenges and build happy lives extends to volunteering at the Robina Community Legal Centre, Women’s Legal Service and Rize Up. Joelene is involved in the local legal community by being a committee member of the Gold Coast District Law Association, mentoring other lawyers and guest lecturing family law at Bond University. Joelene is an advocate for wellness, both personally and professionally. She has a blended family and is the mother of two busy children, and continually works hard at juggling life as a mum, friend, daughter, trusted advisor and lawyer / mediator.
