Amy Power
Amy Power is a Senior Solicitor with Women’s Legal Service NSW. She has been with WLS NSW for 5 years and works in the First Nations Women’s Legal Program team. She started her career working in private practice before moving to work in a community legal centre as a solicitor with the Queensland Indigenous Family Violence Legal Service. Amy is a staff volunteer on Women’s Legal Service NSW Foundation which promotes WLS NSW work and fundraising.
She is a member of Australian Lawyers for Human Rights and has been a volunteer mentor for the University of NSW Law Society Women’s Mentoring program. Amy’s work for First Nations women in family law was recognised when she and her First Nations Women’s Legal Program team were nominated for and were finalists in the Australian Human Rights Award in the Legal category.
Amy has worked on family law cases that have been discussed and presented on at the World Congress on Family Law and Children’s Rights.
